Nissan Creates Scratch Shield iPhone case that fixes its own scratches and blemishes

The new Nissan Scratch Shield is made of ABS plastic that makes up the case is designed to be more rigid than other plastics, and a gel-style surface that promises to handle scratches better. And did we mention it heals itself? The case’s paint is made of polyrotaxane, which Nissan says reacts when its structure is changed and actually morphs back into its original shape, covering over the scratch. The process takes between an hour and a week depending on the severity of the blemish, and though it can’t handle huge gashes it should do fine with your iPhone’s normal wear and tear.
